Tony DiTucci, the vice president of DGA Builders in Pittsford, New York, has worked in construction project management for 25 years. Established in 1917 as a way to provide recent immigrants with essential living supplies and employment assistance, the Catholic Family Center has expanded operations over the past century to provide a range of programs that fight poverty and promote education. In 2016, the Center spread holiday cheer to over 150 Rochester families through its Adopt-a-Family program.
In addition to distributing toys to more than 500 local children, Adopt-a-Family supplied disadvantaged families with much-needed food and clothing. The program also collected special donations to help feed hungry kids during the school break, when they no longer receive the subsidized school meals that often serve as their principal source of daily nutrition.
